The ACF consists of Fukushima University and 18 university and post-secondary institutions located in Fukushima Prefecture. As a key force in the region’s long-term recovery from the March 11th disasters, the ACF collaborates together to provide programs aimed at nurturing glocal (global plus local) skills for all students studying in Fukushima. All partner institutions are committed to providing a comfortable learning environment for international students studying in Fukushima.
The Fukushima University Center for Regional Affairs (CERA) was formed in 2001 by restructuring the Regional Research Center launched in 1988, and has since absorbed the functions of the Center for Lifelong Learning and Education(2008). It is currently positioned as the core of the university's efforts to actively contribute to the region.
