The 30th Prefectural Amateur Go Championship (sponsored by the Prefectural Go Federation, Fukushima Minyu Shimbun, Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo Head Office, and Fukushima Chuo Television) was held in Koriyama City on August 1, 2021.

A total of 16 players, including the top seeded players from the previous tournament and winners from various tournaments in the prefecture, participated in the tournament, and Mr. Ryuhei Suzuki, a third year student of the Faculty of Administations of social sciences , won the second place.

Commenting on the result, Mr. Suzuki said, "This was my first time participating in a tournament, and I aimed to play a good game. Next time, I will try my best to win.”
