The number of applicants for this year's examination was 14,192, and the final number of successful applicants was 1,360, with a passing rate of 9.6%.

The two students studied hard for 4,000 to 5,000 hours, which is considered to be required to pass the exam, while studying in Shuji Okuyama’s Seminar and participating in the "Kaikeishi-Juku", a gathering of young people who aspire to become accounting professionals under the guidance of Hirokazu Takahashi, who is a certified public accountant and also an alumnus of the university.

Both Mr. Takahashi and Mr. Ishikawa have been offered employment at an auditing firm from next April, and it is expected that they will continue to play an active role in the future.
